
The CGSM Philosophy (if ever there was one)
We believe in direct marketing. We believe all digital marketing activity IS direct marketing. The ads. The web. The perfection of a well-crafted mailing, whether it arrives in a mailbox or an inbox. The simple BRC. A strong call to action. Good copy. That the basic tenets of most direct marketing efforts are sound, and that anyone who calls it “junk mail” never knew how to practice that craft. We believe in a great headline. An offer that really matters. We believe that there ought to be a new commandment: “Thou shalt not market to an audience that is not segmented.” We believe in a religion of solid communication that articulates a point of interest in a way that’s surprisingly useful, and we believe that every marketer worth its salt should consider practicing it.
